My Work
Veterinary surgeon by trade, I have been fully dedicated to organic farming for the last 8 years both in production and management of farms. In 2015 I completed a PDC presencially in Ridgedale Permaculture and I am a certified educator with the portuguese national employment agency. For the last 4 years I owned and ran a 1000m2 commercially successful market garden nearby Lisbon.
Presently I work with the Savory Institute and their Iberian hub AleJab for spreading Holistic Management as a decision making framework and I am responsible for the RegenAg section of the portuguese magazine Ruminantes. I am deeply interested in large scale land- scape and social regeneration and micro-scale vegetable/fruit growing. I help other farmers to find their holistic context and implement profitable, resilient agroecological systems that fit that context.
